Kerala is poised to make a groundbreaking advancement in artificial intelligence by setting up its first robotics park in Thrissur, as announced by Minister for Industries P Rajeeve during a Robotics Roundtable event on Friday.
The park, a pioneering initiative for the state, will be constructed on a 10-acre plot with assistance from the district panchayat. It will comprise four sections: RoboLand for public interaction, an institute for robotics courses, a development center, and an incubator for startups. Inker Robotics, a Kochi-based firm, will spearhead development in collaboration with the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC).
The Robotics Roundtable marks the beginning of a transformative journey for Kerala's technology sector, culminating in the Global Investors Meet slated for next February. KSIDC is committed to supporting robotic startups by increasing equity investments and offering scaled-up loans. The initiative underscores Kerala's ambition to become a hub for hi-tech manufacturing and innovation.
