Rajasthan Private Bus Operators Stage Strike to Demand Reforms

Rajasthan's private bus operators launched a statewide strike on Tuesday, aiming to push forward a series of demands that include fare hikes and administrative reforms.
The strike, which has grounded approximately 30,000 buses, severely impacts travel plans for nearly 40 lakh commuters, according to Satyanarayan Sahu, the president of the Bus Operators Association Rajasthan.
Operators also seek a tax waiver for vehicles unable to run due to rainfall and are pressing for the implementation of an offline permit system.
