Speaking at the inauguration of the Pune Metropolitan Region Growth Hub (PMR G-Hub), he warned that this trend is the biggest barrier to the city's progress.

Fadnavis highlighted that while the government provides a supportive framework, the broader social and political climate must align to foster a business-friendly environment. He stated that the imposition of hiring specific individuals or awarding contracts under duress obstructs Pune's economic growth.

The Chief Minister emphasized that to achieve global competitiveness, investors require freedom of choice and cost-effective services. He cautioned that if businesses are forced to operate under such pressures, they risk losing their competitive edge.
