Safe Landing Ensures Calm After Go-Around

An Air India Express flight carrying 160 passengers from Bengaluru encountered landing difficulties at Gwalior airport on Saturday afternoon. During its initial descent, the aircraft had to perform a go-around before successfully landing on the second attempt, according to officials.

The airline clarified that the go-around procedure, which entails aborting a landing approach in order to make another, is a standard safety protocol. 'The crew are trained to initiate a go-around as a precaution when needed,' a spokesperson stated.

After the uneventful landing, the aircraft was thoroughly examined and found to have no mechanical issues. Nevertheless, some passengers expressed their concerns by lodging complaints with airline and airport staff before the flight continued safely to Bengaluru, remarked Gwalior airport director A.K. Goswami.
