The civil aviation ministry has announced that the investigation into the Air India crash in Ahmedabad, which resulted in 260 fatalities, is ongoing. The preliminary report, published by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau, delivers factual findings based on the evidence available.

The incident saw a London Gatwick-bound Boeing 787-8 aircraft crash shortly after takeoff. Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol confirmed that all possible causes of the crash are under examination.

Interim compensation of Rs 25 lakh has been disbursed to the families of 237 victims, with full compensation processes underway. Furthermore, Rs 1 crore each was paid by Tata Trusts to the families of 86 of the deceased.
