In an unprecedented disruption, IndiGo cancelled more than 220 flights at Delhi and Mumbai airports on Sunday, marking the sixth day of turmoil. The widespread cancellations and delays have wreaked havoc on thousands of passengers, leaving many stranded.

Sources disclosed that at least 112 flights were cancelled at Mumbai and 109 at Delhi airports. Despite operating 1,500 flights on Saturday, the airline is under pressure to normalize operations, as CEO Pieter Elbers faces notices from the DGCA demanding explanations within 24 hours.

Additionally, aviation authorities have assembled a four-member inquiry panel to investigate the operational failures, aiming for regulatory improvements. Measures to cap airfares and mandate ticket refunds by Sunday highlight the urgency to address passengers' hardships amid the ongoing crisis.
