India now stands as the world's third-largest startup ecosystem, with more than 200,000 recognised startups leading innovation and creating jobs nationwide, former President Ram Nath Kovind announced at a recent event.

At the Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) event, Kovind pointed to over 100 startups achieving unicorn status as a testament to the country's dynamic business environment. His remarks came amid gatherings at the AI Impact Summit, where global leaders convened to discuss advancements in technology.

Emphasizing the partnership of business and values, Kovind articulated the synergy between profit and purpose, a sentiment echoed by JITO's Jeenendra Bhandari. The narrative of India's startup scene, Bhandari added, is one of value creation, global competitiveness, and sustained economic momentum.
