Washington, Aug 10 (PTI): A significant merger has been announced between the Hindu University of America (HUA) and the California College of Ayurveda (CCA), one of the foremost Ayurveda institutions outside India. The CCA, based in Nevada City, California, will now function under the HUA's umbrella, according to a media release.
Dr. Marc Halpern, who founded CCA in 1995 with the mission of bringing Ayurveda to the U.S. to enhance societal well-being, described the merger as blending the best of Eastern and Western traditions for a promising future.
Dr. Jashwant Patel, chairman of HUA's Board, emphasized that the merger will allow the institution to concentrate on integrative health benefits, bringing scientific rigor to the field. HUA President Kalyan Viswanathan welcomed the CCA community, noting the increased opportunities for advancement in the field of integrative health.
