In a significant development in Maharashtra's Nanded district, a headmaster and six teachers have been suspended for allegedly exploiting disability quota benefits without valid certificates, officials revealed.
The crackdown followed a verification drive launched by the primary education department last September aimed at rooting out fraudulent disability documentation.
Investigations uncovered discrepancies, including non-recorded disability certificates and claims with below 40% disability, prompting swift disciplinary action from ZP Chief Executive Officer Meghna Kavali.
