Jammu and Kashmir, renowned for its breathtaking scenery, continues to attract numerous tourists. Films can play a significant role in promoting tourism in the Union Territory. Actor Kiran Kumar, busy with his film 'The Last Candidate,' commended the J&K administration for supporting Bollywood film crews in the Kashmir Valley.
'The Last Candidate' is one of the most beautifully written scripts I have read in a long time. It tells the story of a Kashmiri family and a principled man who stands by his values. The film focuses on everyday life, devoid of any terrorism or militancy themes. Its production in Kashmir offers employment to local artists and people, providing them a platform to showcase their talent," Kumar shared.
Film director Javaid Banday also appreciated the J-K administration's initiative. The administration's practical approach to promoting tourism has facilitated easier film shootings in the valley while preserving cultural heritage. "With the administration's support, we can film in the valley more conveniently, enhancing our cultural and heritage preservation efforts," Banday told ANI.
Pamela, a cast member, expressed her excitement about the project. "I am thrilled to be part of this movie. Increased film productions in Kashmir create better opportunities for local artists and talents." Actor Hussain Khan echoed similar sentiments, noting the peaceful environment and the revival of local film production as a significant boost for actors and projects.
