Suryakumar Yadav, the newly appointed captain of India's T20 Internationals team, returned to Mumbai on Thursday evening after a triumphant series against Sri Lanka. The team clinched the three-match series 3-0, affirming Yadav's leadership prowess.
The cricketer was seen in high spirits as he was photographed by the media outside Mumbai Airport. Sporting a black T-shirt paired with a black hat and cream pants, Yadav looked notably relaxed. He took time to meet his fans and pose for pictures, reflecting his approachable demeanor.
Yadav's rise to captaincy follows India's ICC T20 World Cup win under Rohit Sharma, who announced his retirement from T20Is post-event. In his first full-time series as captain, Yadav led India to a convincing victory in Pallekele, Sri Lanka, scoring 92 runs, including a half-century. The series win adds to his previous leadership record of five wins from seven T20Is against Australia and South Africa.
