Riccardo Bellini Takes Helm at Valentino: A New Chapter Begins
Italian fashion house Valentino has appointed Riccardo Bellini as the new chief executive, effective September. Bellini succeeds Jacopo Venturini and brings vast experience from his previous roles at luxury brands. Valentino is currently part-owned by Kering, which holds a 30% stake purchased from Mayhoola.
Riccardo Bellini has been appointed as the new chief executive of Valentino, the renowned Italian fashion house, starting in September. The appointment marks a significant leadership change for the brand, following the departure announcement of Jacopo Venturini last week.
Bellini brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as CEO of luxury brands Maison Margiela and Chloé, and holding key positions at Diesel and Procter & Gamble. "I am honored to join Valentino, an iconic maison that blends extraordinary heritage and craftsmanship with a unique creative voice," Bellini stated.
Founded in Rome in 1960 by Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti, Valentino is now part-owned by the French luxury conglomerate Kering, which acquired a 30% stake from Mayhoola. Recent speculations about a sale were denied by Mayhoola, and Kering has retained its silence on the matter.
