BJP Counters Rahul Gandhi's Remarks on Lotus: Demands Apology

BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan has criticized Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's comments on the lotus, asserting that he insulted the nation's cultural and religious heritage. Kesavan demanded an apology and discussed the lotus's significance in multiple religions, the cultural importance, and PM Modi's role in defeating the Congress's 'dynastic Chakravyuh'.

In a fierce rebuttal, BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan denounced Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's comments about the lotus in the Lok Sabha, labeling them as an insult to the whole nation. Kesavan demanded an apology, arguing that Gandhi's remarks undermined India's cultural and religious heritage.

Highlighting the significance of the lotus in Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, and Christian traditions, Kesavan noted that revered texts like the Bhagvad Gita associate the lotus with duty and karma. He emphasized that the lotus is a recurring symbol linked with deities such as Sarasvati, Vishnu, and Lakshmi, integral to India’s cultural fabric.

Kesavan also accused the Congress of a 'dynastic Chakravyuh' that hindered the country's progress for decades. Praising PM Modi's leadership, he credited Modi with overcoming this legacy and driving development. Kesavan reiterated that Gandhi's attack on the lotus stemmed from political bias and a lack of understanding of India's historical and spiritual heritage.
