In a landslide victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), state president Rajib Bhattacharya secured the lone Rajya Sabha seat in Tripura. The election, held in the lobby of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, commenced at 9 am on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Manik Saha congratulated Bhattacharya on his decisive win, emphasizing the pivotal role he is expected to play in building a prosperous Tripura. "Heartfelt congratulations to Rajib Bhattacharya Ji, President of Pradesh BJP, on his decisive victory in the Rajya Sabha by-election for the lone seat in Tripura," Saha remarked.
