Supreme Court Petitioned to Consolidate FIRs Against Ranveer Allahabadia

On Friday, prominent YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia filed a petition with the Supreme Court to consolidate several FIRs lodged against him nationwide, following controversial remarks made during an appearance on the show 'India's Got Latent.'
During his plea, his legal representative, senior advocate Abhinav Chandrachud, argued for an expedited hearing before a judicial panel led by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna. The Chief Justice responded that such cases are not discussed verbally and stated that a hearing date has been set.
The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, confirmed that Guwahati Police had initiated legal action against Allahabadia along with fellow YouTubers such as Samay Raina and Ashish Chanchlani. They face allegations of promoting obscenity and engaging in vulgar dialogue, with FIRs recorded in both Maharashtra and Assam.
