Advantage Assam 2.0 Kicks Off: A Catalyst for Regional Growth and Innovation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit aimed at boosting Assam's economy through innovation and sustainable development. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honored by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit held in Guwahati. The summit, inaugurated on Tuesday, aims to drive innovation and sustainable progress within Assam.

The Prime Minister's arrival a day prior marked a series of exhibition visits where diverse investment opportunities were showcased. Prominent figures such as Union Ministers S Jaishankar, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Ashwini Vaishnaw attended, with Nitin Gadkari addressing delegates virtually.

In a major economic boost, the Assam Cabinet approved investment proposals of Rs 1.22 lakh crore, positioning the summit, spanning Tuesday and Wednesday, as a key event for economic development. Noteworthy business leaders including Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani join international delegations in Guwahati, fostered through global roadshows.
