Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia lauded the Indian Armed Forces on Thursday for the precision execution of 'Operation Sindoor', emphasizing its objective to eradicate terrorism. 'Under PM Modi's leadership, our forces have delivered a decisive response, obliterating terrorist threats,' Scindia stated.

In the early hours of May 7, India launched a coordinated assault using high-precision weaponry, targeting nine strategic sites across PoK and Pakistan. The operation, which followed the Pahalgam attack resulting in 26 fatalities, saw over 100 terrorists neutralized, with the mission still ongoing, sources affirmed.

During the night of May 7-8, Indian Armed Forces thwarted a significant drone and missile attack by Pakistan on Indian installations, with an Air Defence system in Lahore neutralized. Colonel Sofiya Qureshi confirmed that India's measures were focused and non-escalatory, as they also targeted Pakistani air defense systems.

Colonel Qureshi clarified that India's military response remains measured despite the Pakistani attempt to engage multiple Indian military targets using drones and missiles. Debris recovery from various locations substantiates these Pakistani attacks, following the terror strike in Pahalgam on April 22, leading to 'Operation Sindoor'.
