Modi Unveils Bengaluru's Metro Yellow Line and New Vande Bharat Express

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bengaluru marks a significant milestone with the inauguration of the new Yellow Line metro, described by Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra as a 'dream come true' for the public. The project is expected to benefit over eight lakh residents in Bengaluru's southern districts.
Vijayendra emphasized the widespread anticipation for the Prime Minister's arrival, highlighting the metro line's impact on the region. Furthermore, Modi will inaugurate the Vande Bharat Express between Bengaluru and Belgavi, promising enhanced connectivity and joy among Karnataka's populace.
Deputy Inspector General and Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Karthik Reddy, stated that necessary traffic arrangements, including diversions for heavy vehicles on city outskirts, have been implemented to facilitate Modi's visit. The Yellow Line, spanning over 19 km with 16 stations, will boost the operational metro network to more than 96 km, addressing the city's growing transportation demands.
The Bangalore Metro Phase-3 project, with an estimated cost of Rs 15,610 crore and a route length of over 44 km featuring 31 elevated stations, will further extend Bengaluru's infrastructure. Additionally, Modi will initiate three Vande Bharat Express trains, enhancing regional travel experiences by reducing journey times. The metro and train services are operated by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, a joint endeavor of the Indian and Karnataka governments.
