In a significant move towards bolstering India's renewable energy capacity, the Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group announced its subsidiary, Reliance Infrastructure, is developing one of the country's most advanced solar manufacturing ecosystems. This initiative encompasses the full spectrum of production, from ingots and wafers to cells and modules.

The new manufacturing facility, as outlined in a recent investor presentation, will incorporate next-generation technology to meet the anticipated demand for 55-60 GW of solar modules annually by 2030. This development is crucial as India's current upstream capacity is considerably lacking.

Additionally, Reliance Infrastructure is setting up a comprehensive battery manufacturing ecosystem. This project covers the entire process, from cell manufacturing to grid-scale containerized battery energy storage systems (BESS), addressing the projected rise in India's stationary storage base from less than 1 GWh today to 250 GWh by 2032.
