The Himachal Pradesh government has embarked on a pioneering initiative to foster the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants. Partnering with the Indian Army and Shree Baidyanath Ayurved, the government inked a tripartite MoU on Monday, targeting select border and remote villages across the state.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu highlighted the significance of this collaboration, emphasizing its potential to rejuvenate traditional ayurvedic practices while simultaneously supporting sustainable rural livelihoods. The Ayush department is set to provide the necessary technical support and training to local farmers.

Under this agreement, Shree Baidyanath Ayurved commits to provide high-quality seeds, ensure guaranteed procurement at set prices, and the Army will facilitate training sessions for farmers. The MoU was officially signed by Army representative Col T S K Singh, Ayush Director Rohit Jamwal, and Shailesh Sharma of Shree Baidyanath Ayurved.
