Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) experienced a decline in net profit by over 8% for the December quarter, with figures dropping to Rs 574.06 crore. The decrease is largely due to increased tax expenses.
Despite the lower profits, the company's total income rose to Rs 6,944.44 crore, driven by enhanced revenues in core business areas like transmission and distribution. Revenue from transmission soared to Rs 2,426.36 crore, and distribution rose to Rs 3,103.62 crore, highlighting a solid performance in these segments.
CEO Kandarp Patel expressed optimism about future prospects, pointing to the commissioning of four transmission projects this fiscal year. He highlighted AESL's record-breaking installation rate and potential asset capitalisation growth, indicating a robust strategy for bidding activities in coming quarters.
