BJP leader Navneet Rana has urged for the revocation of Indian citizenship for individuals linked to an alleged significant abuse and blackmail racket involving minors in the Paratwada and Achalpur regions. Her demand arises amidst accusations of a systemic 'pattern' targeting Hindu girls, akin to a recent scandal at a Nashik IT firm.
In an interview with ANI, Rana implored victims in the Amravati district to come forward, promising them full support. She connected the Amravati situation to ongoing investigations in Nashik, where senior personnel at an IT office allegedly recorded and posted explicit videos of female staff online.
Rana has strongly criticized the double standards of political figures preaching secularism amid these crimes. Highlighting the gravity of 150 to 275 emerging videos, she questioned whether the same political response would occur if victims included women in burqas. A Special Investigation Team has been formed to delve into the Paratwada and Achalpur cases as the authorities intensify the probe.
