Amid a severe smog crisis in Delhi, parents and school authorities are intensifying efforts to safeguard children's health. Advisories have been issued against firecrackers and fossil-fuel transport, as pollution levels escalate despite existing plans to curb it.
President of the Parents' Association, Aprajita, emphasized the urgent need for pollution holidays and the importance of planting trees and using air purifiers to mitigate health risks, including allergies and myopia among students.
School principals have echoed these concerns, advocating for a Green Diwali, reduced outdoor activities, and sustainable practices as the air quality index reaches hazardous levels, with PM10 trails jeopardizing the public's respiratory well-being.
