The Australian government has announced the recipients of the Maitri Research and Cultural Partnerships Grants. This program aims to foster collaboration and exchange between Australia and India, focusing on sustainable manufacturing, energy transition research, and creative arts.

These grants, administered by the Centre for Australia-India Relations, seek to deepen bilateral links and explore opportunities across various sectors such as agribusiness, critical technology, energy transition, and advanced manufacturing. According to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, this initiative will facilitate the commercialization of Australian research and technical capabilities in India.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Penny Wong congratulated this year's grant recipients, expressing enthusiasm for the anticipated deepened links between the two countries. Tim Thomas, CEO of the Centre for Australia-India Relations, highlighted that the collaborations will help Australian businesses capitalize on India's economic transformation.
