A flight operated by Air India, travelling from Chicago to Delhi, was compelled to return to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport due to an unexpected technical issue with the aircraft's toilets. The incident occurred on March 5th when 11 out of 12 toilets onboard became inoperative, primarily affecting passengers in the economy section.

According to an airline spokesperson, the flight, AI126, initiated its return journey only five hours into the 14-hour flight. Upon safely landing in Chicago, the plane's passengers and crew disembarked without incident. Air India promptly arranged accommodations to mitigate passenger inconvenience and offered full refunds or complimentary rescheduling.

The significant disruption stemmed from nearly all toilets failing, save for one in the business class section, servicing approximately 300 passengers. Air India emphasized a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction, expressing regret over the unexpected inconvenience caused to travelers.
