China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Friday said entities processing data it defines as "core" and "important" must conduct a yearly security review.
The measures are the latest in a push that Beijing initiated in 2021 to strengthen its control over the way data produced within China's borders is stored, managed, and exported.
