Security officials from the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have conducted a landmark joint anti-terrorism drill in China, according to the Ministry of Public Security.
The 'Interaction-2024' exercises took place in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and focused on live drills and specialized operations, such as the eradication of terrorist groups, marking the first event of its kind involving all SCO member states.
The large-scale exercise was designed to enhance the capabilities and interoperability of member states in joint anti-terrorism operations, reflecting a shared understanding of the global terrorist threat. Representatives from SCO member states and affiliated organizations observed the drills, underscoring the importance of international cooperation in security and defense.
