The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Tuesday called on the government to take decisive steps to ensure the safety of Hindus, Sikhs, and other minorities in Bangladesh, asserting that fundamentalists are targeting them in numerous districts across the neighboring country.
During a press conference, VHP president Alok Kumar emphasized the importance of maintaining a strict security presence on the Indo-Bangladesh border to prevent potential infiltration into Indian territory, exploiting the current turmoil in Bangladesh.
Kumar also appealed to the international community to take effective measures for the protection of minority rights and human rights in Bangladesh, describing the situation there as fraught with uncertainty, violence, and anarchy.
