Goa BJP Commits to Protecting Land Resources

The Goa BJP asserts that the Pramod Sawant-led government is taking proactive steps to protect land resources, amend laws, and counter opposition propaganda. The state has formed a special investigation team to address land-grabbing, and new laws are in place to prevent land misuse. Additionally, the government is tackling road maintenance issues.

The Goa BJP on Tuesday highlighted the proactive measures taken by the Pramod Sawant-led government to safeguard the coastal state's land resources, while condemning opposition propaganda.

At a press conference, Goa BJP spokesman Giriraj Pai Vernekar emphasized that the state cabinet has amended existing laws to protect land and prevent misuse. A special investigation team has successfully addressed numerous land-grabbing cases.

Vernekar also noted the recent amendment to the Communidade Code, ensuring land cannot be diverted from its intended purpose. The government has further enacted laws to ban the conversion of paddy fields and No Development Zones, and is tackling road maintenance by enforcing strict regulations on contractors.
