The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Rajasthan raided several properties on Tuesday belonging to Avinash Sharma, a Superintendent Engineer with the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), in connection with a corruption investigation, officials reported.
Sharma allegedly accumulated assets valued at Rs 6.25 crore, a staggering 253 percent more than his reported income since joining the service. In a coordinated effort, twelve ACB teams scoured seven locations, unveiling Sharma's extensive ownership of more than 50 properties in Jaipur's well-known areas.
Investigators discovered Sharma's alleged corruption involved transactions benefiting societal and construction interests, securing land at abnormally low prices. Over seven bank accounts, Sharma's family reportedly holds Rs 30 lakh, alongside significant investments in mutual funds, vehicles, and education expenditures.
