The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Balochistan has apprehended four suspects believed to have aided the terrorist group that hijacked the Jaffar Express in March, holding over 400 passengers hostage in Pakistan's Bolan district.
The hijacking by the Baloch Liberation Army led to the death of 26 hostages, including 18 security personnel. Following the attack, military forces eliminated 33 terrorists and rescued 354 hostages. The investigation continues, focusing on identifying the attackers and analyzing evidence.
The region has seen a rise in terrorist activities in recent months, with insurgent groups targeting security forces and government projects, notably the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
