CAG Partners with BISAG-N for Geo-Spatial Audit Enhancement
The Comptroller and Auditor General of India has signed an MoU with BISAG-N to advance geographic information systems and remote sensing for audits. The partnership aims to integrate AI and big data analytics into the audit framework, enhancing technical capabilities and ensuring financial accountability.

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India has officially entered a pivotal agreement with the Bhaskaracharya National Institute of Space Application and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N), aiming to leverage state-of-the-art geographic information systems and remote sensing technologies.
This strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed by T P Singh, DG of BISAG-N, and S Ramann, Deputy CAG/CTO, was witnessed by CAG K Sanjay Murthy. Speaking at the event, Murthy emphasised how this collaboration with BISAG-N, a technically Atma-Nirbhar institute, will not only uplift audit efficiencies but also spotlight the technological prowess of Indian public institutions.
The initiative is set to bolster the auditing framework with AI, machine learning, and big data analytics for audit-related projects. The collaboration is designed to offer geo-spatial consultancy services, technical guidance, and develop case studies, while also focusing on training CAG officials, underscoring the auditor's commitment to financial accountability and governance.
