The federal disaster response team, equipped with advanced rescue gear, is led by a Commandant and will provide crucial relief and rescue operations in the earthquake-hit areas. The mission follows similar aid efforts in Nepal and Turkiye.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed India's readiness to assist Myanmar and Thailand. Additionally, 15 tonnes of relief materials were dispatched to Yangon on an Indian Air Force transport aircraft as India mobilized quickly to support its neighbor across their 1,643-km shared border.
