Pakistan Closes Airspace Amid Escalating Tensions with India

In a significant late-night development on Wednesday, Pakistan shuttered its airspace to commercial flights at Lahore and Islamabad airports, while Karachi continues operations. The decision follows India's military strikes on terror targets across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) confirmed the airspace closure, expressing concerns over the safety threats posed to civil aviation by India's alleged reckless maneuvers. The PAA has communicated these concerns to the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
The military action, termed Operation Sindoor by India, was in response to a recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, resulting in 26 casualties. These developments heighten the already tense relations between the neighboring nations.
