The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has demanded clarity from the National Conference-led government on making Urdu compulsory in the Naib Tehsildar recruitment exams.
Protests erupted after the J&K Services Selection Board advertised 75 positions, sparking concerns over regional discrimination as Jammu youths prefer Hindi and other languages.
Ravinder Sharma, JKPCC chief spokesperson, urged rectification to prevent regional exclusion. Yuva Rajput Sabha also protested, alleging intentional exclusion of Jammu candidates.
