BJP's Fact-Finding Mission Amidst Kolkata Law College Scandal

A BJP-constituted fact-finding team arrived in Kolkata following a gang rape incident at a law college. The team includes former Union ministers and MPs. A four-member 'fact-finding team' constituted by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) arrived in Kolkata on Monday to investigate the recent gang rape incident at a law college in the city. The team, comprising former Union ministers Satpal Singh and Meenakshi Lekhi and MPs Biplab Kumar Deb and Manan Kumar Mishra, aims to gather more insights into the issue.

Addressing the media at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, MP Biplab Kumar Deb criticized the state's security situation reflecting on the leadership of a female chief minister. He highlighted the increasing instances of crimes against women, mentioning the recent incident involving a law student.

Deb expressed frustration over the team's denied access to South Calcutta Law College and an inability to meet the chief secretary. The findings of their investigation will be reported to BJP national president J P Nadda in due course.
