Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta held a crucial meeting Wednesday to tackle the pressing issue of stray animals in Delhi. The gathering, which included key ministers and senior officials, aimed to incorporate the suggestions of animal lovers and experts into city policies.
Amid rising concerns over stray dogs, Gupta emphasized treating the problem as both an administrative and social responsibility. She urged a comprehensive approach and highlighted the need for public consultation. A subsequent meeting is scheduled for Thursday to further address the issue.
The Supreme Court has also intervened, responding to media reports about frequent dog bite incidents leading to rabies, affecting children and the elderly. The court's involvement underscores the urgency of finding effective solutions.
