Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh's IT Minister, has publicly accused YSRCP leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy of misdirecting proceeds from an illicit liquor scheme through his construction company during the previous administration.
Lokesh alleged that gold valued at Rs 400 crore was purchased as a part of these alleged transactions. This, he argues, demonstrates the way corrupt funds were smartly veiled as investments during those five years.
During a press conference, Lokesh pressed Ramachandra Reddy to deny the allegations publicly, questioning whether the transactions truly never went through Reddy's firm. He further called the construction company a front for corruption and demanded transparency between liquor and politically affiliated companies.
