At a joint press conference with fellow INDIA bloc leaders, Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, insisted that the government is unwilling to facilitate a debate on this issue. He expressed concerns over the potential disenfranchisement of specific communities through this electoral revision process.

The bloc's leaders, including Congress, Trinamool Congress, and CPI-M representatives, expressed their intention to protest the perceived undemocratic practices both inside and outside the Parliament, demanding a fair debate and government accountability.
