Tragedy in Saudi Arabia: Telangana Families Await Closure

Telangana is sending around 50 family members of the deceased pilgrims from the tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia for the impending funeral. The solemn event is scheduled for Thursday, according to a senior official.
The Telangana government's team, led by Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammad Azharuddin, is already in Saudi Arabia to coordinate relief efforts and funeral logistics. DNA tests will be conducted to identify the bodies, which were burnt beyond recognition, and death certificates will be issued only upon confirmation.
Authorities highlight potential compensation from both Saudi and Telangana governments for the victims' families. Meanwhile, Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar reported that the death toll stands at 45. The Telangana government has pledged Rs five lakh as ex-gratia support to the bereaved families, committed to upholding religious traditions during the mass funeral in Saudi Arabia.
