Poland identified two Ukrainians responsible for a railway explosion aimed at disrupting routes to Ukraine. The suspects, connected to Russian intelligence, have fled to Belarus. Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized that these were intentional acts to cause a railway catastrophe while Poland remains vigilant amidst ongoing sabotage concerns.
Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced on Tuesday that two individuals responsible for a recent railway explosion were identified. The Ukrainians, allegedly collaborated with Russian intelligence, have fled to Belarus. The incident heightened tensions as Poland becomes a key target due to its support for Ukraine.
The explosion on the Warsaw-Lublin line, connecting Poland's capital to the Ukrainian border, was part of a series of sabotage acts. Tusk affirmed these acts were intentional and aimed at causing a rail traffic catastrophe, marking Poland as a significant focus for such operations.
Moscow has refuted allegations of involvement, with Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov dismissing the charges during a state television interveiw. Despite denials, Poland continues to investigate and coordinate with international intelligence to apprehend the culprits, as national security remains under threat.
