The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been granted custody of Shahul Hameed, a PFI activist, involved in the murder of RSS leader Sreenivasan in Kerala three years ago. The Special Court for NIA Cases approved custody until December 5 to delve deeper into the conspiracy linked to Hameed.
Hameed, the 50th accused in the case, played a crucial role in the 'India 2047' agenda of establishing Islamic rule. Arrested at Delhi airport recently, after fleeing abroad, his custody is expected to uncover more details of his involvement and his connection to other absconding accused.
NIA seized digital devices used by Hameed for clandestine communications, now slated for forensic analysis. Despite complete investigations, the court maintains that custody is essential for a thorough understanding of Hameed's role. Sreenivasan's murder was orchestrated by a six-member gang in April 2022.
