Two police officers were suspended after CCTV footage surfaced showing them allegedly moving an unidentified body in the dead of night, according to officials on Friday.
The recorded footage revealed the shocking incident, capturing two uniformed men on a motorcycle at Shastri Nagar L-Block crossing around 1:50 am. They were seen transferring the body from an e-rickshaw to a spot outside a local shop.
Prompted by local reports in the morning, police from Lohia Nagar station secured the body for a post-mortem. Disciplinary action was taken against Constable Rajesh, Home Guard Rohtas, and Sub-Inspector Jitendra, with their suspensions enacted immediately amid an ongoing investigation led by Superintendent Ayush Vikram Singh.
