In a significant breakthrough, Delhi Police have dismantled a sophisticated racket responsible for stealing Remote Radio Units (RRUs) from mobile towers. The crucial arrest came on Sunday, thwarting efforts to disrupt wireless communications.
The police, acting on specific intelligence, apprehended Aman, known as 'Monday', a 20-year-old resident from Ghaziabad's Loni area. Along with his arrested associate Aamir, Aman played a pivotal role in a series of RRU thefts, facilitating the operation with a vehicle now in police custody.
Authorities have recovered five RRUs worth approximately Rs 20 lakh, alongside specialized tools and software.
