In a significant development, Goa Police have issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against nightclub owners Ajay Gupta and Surinder Kumar Khosla after a catastrophic fire took 25 lives. The nightclub's prior owners, Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, reportedly fled to Thailand soon after the tragic incident.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Varsha Sharma revealed at a press conference in Anjuna that the police are coordinating with Interpol for the apprehension of the Luthras. Khosla, who is a British citizen, is under close scrutiny as authorities expedite international collaboration to return the suspects to India.
In addition, authorities have arrested five key personnel connected to the nightclub. Among those detained are chief general manager Rajiv Modak and others who played crucial roles in the nightclub's operations. Investigations have also expanded to include former government officials possibly linked to regulatory oversight lapses.
