On Saturday, Chief Justice of India Surya Kant laid the foundation for integrated court complexes in six districts of Uttar Pradesh. These complexes, expected to cost Rs 1,500 crore, aim to set a benchmark for the country's judicial infrastructure.

The districts included in this initiative are Chandauli, Mahoba, Amethi, Shamli, Hathras, and Auraiya. The Chief Justice expressed confidence that these complexes will fulfill the legal requirements of justice seekers and practitioners for at least the next 50 years.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present at the ceremony. The initiative aims to improve access to justice and set a precedent for other states. Justice Kant emphasized facilities like yoga centers, primary health centers, and accommodations for women lawyers within these complexes. The district judiciary's importance is echoed in the constitution, highlighting these complexes as modern 'temples of justice.'
