Two teenagers made a bold escape from a government-run remand home in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, late Tuesday night. The boys, aged 13 and 15, evaded security by breaking the grill of a bathroom and slipping into the night, a local police official reports.
According to City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Shweta Gupta, one boy had been at the facility for three months, while the other had been there for a year. They initiated their escape when one obtained permission to use the bathroom and broke the iron grill to flee, with the second boy following closely.
The absence of the boys prompted staff to initiate a search, ultimately notifying the police. Authorities have organized teams to locate the runaways, as investigations continue into the security breach.
