The Iranian Judiciary has announced the implementation of final verdicts for individuals involved in nationwide protests that erupted earlier this year in January. Hamzeh Khalili, the first deputy chief of the Judiciary, detailed the ongoing measures taken against those labeled as protesters.
Last week, three men were executed for killing police officers during the unrest, raising concerns among human rights organizations regarding Tehran's aggressive stance against political detainees. Concerns have been voiced by groups like Hengaw over the increasing number of executions amidst the backdrop of intensified international military and political pressures.
According to Khalili, there will be no leniency for those the Judiciary views as infiltrators and traitors collaborating with foreign adversaries. Since the onset of the war involving Israel and the U.S., the Judiciary has made over a hundred arrests, reinforcing its tough stance.
