Allegations surfaced after reports that a strong room in Perambra was accessed before the designated counting day, and plans were in place for similar actions in Nenmara. Congress leader K Muraleedharan expressed concerns over proximity issues between facilities and demanded a thorough investigation.

However, district officials clarified that no electoral machinery was compromised. Statements from Palakkad and Kozhikode officials detailed procedural operations conducted in compliance with electoral guidelines, dismissing rumors of unauthorized access.
