The Census 2027 houselisting phase has counted over one crore individuals and 24.57 lakh households in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) areas. This operation has reached its midpoint, covering 12 districts with substantial participation, as stated by officials on Friday.
Begun on May 16, the exercise has successfully completed its run in the New Delhi district, which includes the New Delhi Municipal Council and Delhi Cantonment Board. Here, nearly 63,000 households and 2.5 lakh people were recorded from April 16 to May 15. As of May 28, over 15.72 lakh people and 3.27 lakh households were catalogued in the North East district, with figures across other districts record a similarly high number. The operation, slated to conclude by June 14, employs over 45,000 houselisting blocks within MCD zones, ensuring comprehensive data collection based on a 33-question schedule set by the Centre.
